Windows Metafile vulnerability
The Windows Metafile vulnerability is a security vulnerability in Microsoft Windows NT-based operating systems (i.e., all recent versions of Windows) which has been used in a variety of exploits since late December 2005. The vulnerability was first discussed in the computer security community around 26 and December 27, 2005, with the first reports of affected computers subsequently announced within 24 hours.

Microsoft has just released a patch for Vista that fixes the Windows Metafile vulnerability that affects every version of Windows. Patches are available for Beta 1 (Build 5112) as well as the latest December CTP (Build 5270).
