HP Bought Palm For USD 1.2 Billion

Ten years ago, Palm has ever issued a 3Com networked computer and controlled 70 percent of the computer market. But the latest Palm products issued in the last few years, like Foleo was not succeeded in the market. In addition, Palm also lost the competition with Microsoft and Research In Motion (BlackBerry device manufacturers).

Palm Slate Device Outed from 1.4.1 SDK

A webOS application developer reports that new code in the 1.4.1 SDK that was released specifically mentions a future slate like device from Palm similar to the iPad/Courier/HP Slate or possibly the Palm Foleo project that was scrapped several years ago. The developer found 2 different mentions in the code.

A BlackBerry-obsessed blog has posted what it says are leaked pictures of a new BlackBerry wristwatch that lets you scan incoming calls, messages and even RSS feeds. It's not a cell phone, but a peripheral device for your existing BlackBerry cell phone. Is it lame, like the Palm Foleo? Or is something CrackBerry addicts are going to want?

Rumor has it that Palm's ill-fated Foleo is not dead, but just resting: Analyst Trip Chowdry says that Palm has some iPod veterans working on a new version. If he’s correct, don’t expect the blogosphere to formally retract all the nasty things it said in 2007.
