A group called Indian Mujahideen broadcast a e-mail messages taking responsibility for recent serial bombings in Delhi and Ahmedabad in July and September. The e-mail associated with one attack was sent through the Wi-Fi network of an American businessman living in Mumbai named Kenneth Haywood. The terrorists found his open network by WAR DRIVING.

Indian Police: U.S. Man's Computer Possibly Hacked

Indian police were investigating the computers of Kenneth Haywood, a 48-year-old American from California. They seized his computer after tracing an e-mail claiming responsibility for the attack to the machine. Police said Haywood was not a suspect and it appeared the bombers had accessed his wireless network connection to send the e-mail.

The police in Mumbai traced the e-mail back to the Internet protocol address of an American citizen living in Navi Mumbai, a satellite city across the water from India’s commercial capital. They identified him as Kenneth Haywood, a general manager of an executive training firm called Campbell White.
